Playtech Moving into Social Gaming


Playtech have announced a deal with Skywind Holdings Ltd, which will see the group enter social gaming and boost its mobile platform.

A new deal with Skywind Holdings Ltd will see Playtech enter the fast growing social gaming arena.

The new deal gives Playtech access to a broad range of Skywind’s social gaming platforms and products. Thanks to Skywind’s more than 150 social gaming and real money mobile software developers, Playtech also expect to use a number of real money products.

Under the terms of the deal, Playtech will be able to offer capabilities across numerous platforms with games including poker, casino, bingo and rummy.

A Playtech issued statement said the directors believe that “the combination of Playtech’s wide distribution channels, expertise in content development, backend and online marketing capabilities and the broad range of products licensed under the software license agreement will position Playtech as the leading B2B provider to the social gaming market.”

Playtech will begin developing a full B2B social gaming model immediately.
